Online Stem Player

Joymixa is a free online stem player: open it in your browser, pick a track, and play its stems live — no install, no account, no music knowledge needed.

Every track in Joymixa is already split into stems, and each stem sits on its own button. You decide which instruments play and when. That is the whole idea — and it takes one button press to start.

What is a stem player?

A stem is one isolated layer of a song — the drums, the bass, the vocals, a synth. A stem player lets you play those layers independently: solo the drums, mute the vocals, bring the bass in and out. Instead of listening to a finished mix, you control the mix.

Joymixa is a stem player, not a stem splitter. It does not extract stems from a finished song. Its library is full of tracks that already come as stems — and if you have your own stems (exported from your DAW, or produced by a separation tool), you can upload and play them too.

How playing stems works

A track in Joymixa has up to 8 stems, one per button. Tap a button to bring that instrument into the mix; tap it again to mute it. Everything stays in time automatically: a stem you turn on lands exactly where it would be if it had been playing all along — like raising a fader on a mixing desk, not restarting a file.

A bouncing ball at the bottom of the screen follows the rhythm, with colored markers showing where each cycle of the music restarts. Every button shows the waveform of its stem, and a small dot orbits each active button, following that stem's playback position. You always see what you hear.

While you play, you can shape the sound with five real-time effects — filter, delay, flanger, reverb, and phaser — and change the BPM at any moment. All stems follow automatically.

Beyond one track: mix stems from different tracks

This is where Joymixa goes further than other stem players: stems from different tracks can play together. One global BPM keeps every track in time, so you can layer the drums of one track under the vocals of another — live. Read how in the Live Mashup guide.

Joymixa runs on phones, tablets, and desktops, in Chrome, Brave, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. Most of it is free with no account: play every track in the library, use all effects, record your sessions, and create playlists. You can also play with a gamepad — see Make Music with a Gamepad.
